This quiz is designed to help you identify traits that are consistent with symptoms of ADHD. If you answered yes to most of these questions, you may benefit from a full assessment. This quiz represents a starting point and in no way determines diagnosis.
ADHD is a highly genetic disorder that is diagnosed as predominately inattentive type, predominately hyperactive type, or combined type. ADHD negatively impacts executive function which influences concentration, mental flexibility, organizational skills, impulse control, and the ability to regulate one’s emotions. How executive function is altered in ADHD tends to vary significantly between females and males. Because of this, there are marked differences in age of diagnosis, likelihood of co-occurring disorders, and ADHD type between the sexes. Age, environment, and expectations of the individual also play a significant role in how executive function is both affected and treated.
Evidenced based practice supports stimulant management for ADHD. To maximize the potential of stimulant effectiveness, we start low and make early medication adjustments based on your progress. In addition to medication, we will suggest behavioral modifications for the executive function challenges that impact you the most. Our goal is to promote self-awareness so that you can get the most out of your life.
